[identity profile] seokmonster-mod.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] seokmonstersfest
Pairing: Xiumin/Baekhyun
Side pairing(s): none
Rating: PG
Word Count: 12K
Warnings: none
Summary: Sometimes, it seems like they're just friends living under the same roof, and other times, it feels like there's something in their unspoken words and secret smiles.

Author's Notes: This is somewhat based off of the Chinese movie My Old Classmate. Also, there will (probably) be a sequel.

They’ve been through these alleyways so many times that Baekhyun has no trouble finding his way in the dark.

Why you do this to them? TT i hope for a sequel.. preferable a really happy ending one..
Anyway, i love their relationship here. How baekhyun is so in love that he do everything minseok think good for him. But minseok is so realist it hurts TAT
But he just wants the best for baekhyun.. now you see im confused haha
I love this so much TT

The flow of this story is so good, it was such a pleasure reading it, I got really into this world and than it ended :( I hope this promise means that we can read about their happy reunion in the sequel :P even if it's hard to accept I totally understand Minseok's decisions and why he acted the wat he did. That would be more difficult for them to separate if they were more affectionate towards each other. They have to sacrifice something now to get better life later. Minseok is so mature thinking about others first. Ahhhh this story is really good! This districts thing is very well made. I like how you described how they find enjoyment in their difficult life and how they just accept their situation.
Thank u for writing this story! :D

I love this so much. I honestly got teary eyed multiple times at the way you wrote them, the simplicity of them and yet complicated way in which they and their lives interacted. The ending gave me both a feel of sadness and hope and just -- I love this a lot, and xiubaek are amazing.

This is just so real and wonderful and I'll remember it

Im not emotionally ready to leave a proper comment for this it was soo beautiful and pretty. Like the lack of "drama" really amazed me. The pace was so beautiful and everything was interlaced so perfectly. Im so emotionally withdrawn right now and pleassse write the sequel i really liked the way you write and i could really do with a happy ending. Thank you for sharing this beautiful work it was a pleasure to read this!! ^^

Omg this was such a good story!
The flow went really well and I honestly didn't know I read 12k cause it felt like I read the whole thing in like 5 min.
The plot and just everything about this story really drew me in and I loved the development of Baekhyuns character. Like how he accepted the fact that he had to leave and so did Minseok and how everything was all kinda planned out beforehand.
I'm actually really looking forward to the sequel! Thank you so much for writing this

Oh gosh the sad yet lovely mood of this is so nice ;; I haven't seen the movie before so I had no idea what to expect, but gosh their worries just tug at my heartstrings and then that ending! What a beautiful, emotion-filled story ♥

From beginning to end my hand was clenched in anticipation. Your writing holds so much in its words and so much in its sentences that I was desperate for more. I felt like Baekhyun, desperate to do anything to get those few minutes. But for me I was desperate to find out more, to get more from every paragraph.

I love that as you read the amount of uncertainty and anticipation is so powerful and I'm pretty sure I read with my stomach in knots waiting for the final pin to drop. love that Baekhyun contemplates that maybe Minseok is only doing this because Baekhyun is doing what Minseok wants and is just to appease him. And to find out that Minseok means more by his whole method than what we were seeing. Where Minseok tries to get Baekhyun to pay attention to his studies and do his best because he wants Baekhyun to live a life that Minseok can't give him right away, or maybe ever. The fact that he uses the 3 minutes, 5 minutes as a way to fuel Baekhyun. The "more you try the more I will give you what you want" but isn't he killing two birds with one stone? Solidifying Baekhyun's future but also giving each other the love that they both have for each other.

The ending was simply hauntingly beautiful. The realization of Minseok wanting to enlist but as the one last sacrifice Minseok will do for the family. Keeping Jongdae and Kyungsoo safe is a priority but knowing that Baekhyun has his life ahead of him and is moving districts, something Minseok couldn't do is just heart breakingly sweet. I think you captured each and every character in this fic so fascinatingly well. You know your story, you know your characters and you told a story that had me crying with happiness/sadness but also more anticipation. Those final 26 minutes weren't just a final conversation, a final moment between the two of them but just another step in their life together.

This was seriously gorgeous and I can't wait to read the sequel if you have one. But if you don't this fic was simply amazing.

I was kind of lost the first quarter.
This has a nice mixture of feelings.

Their relationship is kind of cute. =D
(Jongdae and his brother talk lol xD)

Minseok always thinks the best for others. T_T

The ending scene. ='D

And yes, I'm interested if there is a sequel.

Thank you for writing this! ♡ ♡ ♡

ohhh my god i love this so much, i was dying the whole time reading this... i love the flow of it and your characterisations of them all!!

also this part
" "It hurts." Baekhyun smiles when Minseok looks up at him. "Maybe you could kiss it better?"
"How old are you?" Minseok asks, but he complies, leaning forward to kiss Baekhyun's forehead. "
is so cute lol that's such a baekhyun thing to do

i hope you can write a sequel soon!! ^^
